Getting young Londoners on the housing ladder —

by building 100,000 homes and selling them for £100,000 each

The average deposit for a home in London is £109,000 — putting home-ownership out of reach for too many Londoners.

Shaun Bailey bought his first home using Help to Buy. So Shaun understands that we can’t live in a city where the rich buy luxury homes while ordinary Londoners get priced out.

That’s why Shaun will build 100,000 homes and sell them for £100,000 each.

Each of these homes will be Shared Ownership homes. That means people can buy a portion of their home, with a mortgage, and pay a subsidised rent on the remaining portion.

With a deposit of just £5,000, these homes will help first-time buyers get on the housing ladder.
